Mission : Urban strategy for the protected old town centre, which is highly exposed to coastal risks, with a view to enhancing tourism, heritage and the landscape of the village and surrounding area by 2050-2100.

How to change the built environment reduce residents’ vulnerability and keep a village lively and vibrant?
A historical analysis of the geomorphology of the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel highlights the dynamics of sedimentation and erosion that have been at work for 7,000 years. This demonstrates the permanent movement of the interface between land and sea, rendering the very notion of “coastline” obsolete. This project offers a forward-looking vision for the future landscapes of the bay and shows how uses can evolve with these new resources. #cut
The principles of a territorial approach are transposed into proposals for how to adapt existing buildings: at the scale of the bay, by accounting for how landscape change generates new resources; at the scale of the town centre, the project activates a new dynamic for adapting the built environment based on the movements and timescales of how dwellings are occupied.
La Station Mobile est un dispositif de sensibilisation et d’expérimentation qui met en récit et en débat le mouvement de l’épaisseur littorale. A la fois centre d’interprétation ambulant, plateforme de concertation et lieu de sensibilisation, elle se déplace au rythme des paysages en mutation, le long d’un nouveau sentier littoral prospectif. Agissant comme une balise dans le paysage, ses parois en aluminium anodisé, articulées sur 4 côtés, reflètent les lumières changeantes de la baie.
